Kwesi Abbey Sam

Executive Council - Chairman

A civil engineer by profession, Kwesi Abbey Sam has had a long distinguished career in the public service until his retirement in 2000 as Chief Director at the Ministry of Roads and Transport. Since retiring, he’s consulted extensively on a number of donor funded projects in the roads and transport sector, working on policy development and generally passing on knowledge to the next generation. He’s served on several boards notable among them, the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, Public Procurement Authority and Engineering Council.

Kwesi is a devout Methodist and a Lay Preacher.

Vivienne Gadzekpo-Duker CV.

Executive Director

Vivienne Gadzekpo-Duker serves as the Executive Director of Golden Chapter Foundation which she founded in 2018. A lawyer by profession with an LLB from the University of Ghana and an LLM from the University of Cambridge, UK, she has over 28 years’ experience at the Bar. Her career spans from working on Government of Ghana’s privatisation programme during the late 1990’s to a number of roles starting in 2000 in the Ministry of Energy working on projects and programmes involving energy sector, public and private sector institutions as well as multi-lateral and bilateral development partner agencies. Her final role, prior to retirement from the Ministry was as Director, Legal Affairs.

Vivienne is passionate about the elderly and devotes her time to keeping seniors happy.

Fred Nuerte Nuer

Fred Nuerte Nuer is an investment banker and serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Cornerstone Capital Advisors Ltd. Fred has over 28 years’ experience in corporate finance, specialising in advising corporates on sourcing funding, securing strategic investors and structuring PPP transactions. Fred also devotes his time to supporting charities focused on addressing the needs of persons with disabilities and the aged. He brings a wealth of experience to support the work of our charity.

Fred serves on a number of corporate boards and holds an MBA degree from the Durham Business School and a BA degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Ghana.

Sheila Darkwa

Member

Sheila Darkwa is the founder and Managing Partner of S&H Group. She is a seasoned lawyer with over 21 years of extensive experience in the corporate and commercial, financial and power sectors. Her long years of legal experience and representation on several boards within the power, pharmaceutical, natural resources and real estate sectors brings a unique commercial perspective to her corporate practice.

Sheila is a member of the Ghana Bar Association Committee for Women and Minors’ Rights; her passion for charity work has led to her establishment of the Helena Quist Memorial Foundation, an NGO focused on child education and women upliftment.

Anita Lokko

Member

Anita Lokko is a lawyer by profession and holds an LLB from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a master’s in business administration from the University of Exeter, UK. She has had many years of experience working in both the public and private sector in Ghana and in East Africa. Anita is an avid reader with an eclectic taste in books ranging from law journals to romance novels.

She is passionate about social interventions, having started her career with a not-for-profit organization involved in equipping physically challenged persons with vocational and other life skills to enable them to live dignified and independent lives.

Anita is happily married with three young adult children.
